I became an Accredited Exercise Physiologist to assist those with chronic pain and injury find their health through safe and effective exercise protocols. My journey into Exercise Physiology began after I served 4 years as a Rifleman in the Australian Army, specialising in Heavy Weapons. I deployed once to East Timor in 2010 and once to Afghanistan in 2011/2012. I was discharged from the Army in 2013 with back pain and a host of other injuries and a plan to learn how to rehab myself and other veterans in the process. Since starting work with the crew at Evexia CrossFit and Therapies I have thoroughly enjoyed helping my NDIS participants and clients from all walks of life achieve things they once thought impossible.
When I'm not at work, I can be found enjoying family time with my 2 beautiful children and fiancé.
Other hobbies that I try and pursue when time permits are surfing and golf, neither of which I am amazing at, but I enjoy trying to improve my skills. I also enjoy jumping into classes and the recovery room at work a few times a week if possible.
I am the Co-Founder of a not-for-profit charity, Association of Veteran Surfers, which aims to assist veterans with improving their physical and mental health through Ocean Therapy and Mateship.
Since completing my degree in early 2019, I have gone on to further develop my skills and knowledge by completing some professional development courses in areas that are of interest to me (see list below.)
